Child drowned in Sirajganj

A child named Nushrat Khatun (3) died after drowning in a pond in Sirajganj’s Belkuchi. The incident took place in Gopalpur Dakshin Para village of the upazila on Friday evening.

The officer-in-charge (OC) of Enayetpur police station Panchananda Sarkar confirmed the truth of this incident.

The deceased Nushrat is the daughter of Hafizul Islam of Gopalpur village of Daulatpur union.

Hafizul Islam, the father of deceased Nushrat, said that this afternoon, after not finding her daughter at home, after searching for a long time, she was found floating in the pond near the house. Later in the evening, the body of the girl was recovered from the pond.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Enayetpur Police Station Panchananda Sarkar said that we came to know about the death of the child by drowning some time ago. Police have been dispatched to the scene.
