A man named Zia Fakir (40) died in a bomb (cocktail) attack by terrorists in Jessore’s Abhaynagar upazila. The incident took place at Ranagati village of Suborara union of Abhaynagar upazila around 9:30 pm on Friday (November 3).
According to local sources, at night, Zia Fakir was sitting in a tea shop at a place called Uttarpara Mosque Madrasa Battala of Ranagati village. Around 9:30 pm, some miscreants bombed him. A bomb exploded on his body and he died on the spot.
According to local sources, Zia Fakir, son of Wahab Fakir of Ranagati village, has a force. It is known as Zia Army. He has several cases of murder under his name. Zia Fakir fled to Dhaka for a long time. He returned to the area three months ago.
OC ABM Mehedi Masud of Abhaynagar Police Station said, I came to the spot after receiving information. Someone throws a cocktail at him. The cocktail exploded in his stomach and he died on the spot.
The OC also said that it is not possible to say at this moment who and why the bomb attack was carried out. We are looking. This police officer could not immediately inform whether there is any case against the deceased.
