Killing of four national leaders to erase the spirit of liberation war: MP Manik

Sunamganj District Awami League Vice President and Sunamganj 5th Constituency MP Muhibur Rahman Manik said that on November 3, 1975, some Kulangars of the country brutally killed our four national leaders to erase the spirit of the Liberation War. This murder was done under state sponsorship. Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmad, Captain M Mansoor Ali and AHM Kamruzzaman were victims of this brutal murder.

He said, August 15th and November 3rd are based on the same sources. Those who killed Bangabandhu, killed his four trusted associates. Their aim was to rule the country in Pakistani style. After the gruesome massacre of 15th August, Khandaker Mushtaq wanted these four national leaders by his side. But they rejected it with disgust. After the heinous incident of August 15, four such leaders were arrested and sent to jail on August 23 of the same year and were killed today.

He said these things at a meeting organized by Doarabazar Upazila Awami League and its organizations on the occasion of Jail Murder Day in memory of the four national leaders who were the close companions of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the organizers of the Liberation War.

Former Chairman of Upazila Parishad Principal Idris Ali presided over the heroic ceremony.

Muhibur Rahman Manik, Member of Parliament of Chatak-Doarabazar Constituency, said that BNP Jamaat is the enemy of the country and the people. They are burning and killing people. Sheikh Hasina should be given an opportunity to rule the country by voting in a boat again to maintain the development and progress of the country in the next election and uphold the ideals of the liberation war.
