Three passengers of a private car were injured after being hit by a bus in the Bangabandhu tunnel in Patenga area of the port city.
This accident happened on Friday night. The injured were not immediately identified.

Tunnel Authority Assistant Engineer Tanveer Rifat told the media that around 8:50 p.m., a bus bound for Anwara hit the private car from behind. Three passengers of the private car were injured.
He said, “On receiving the news, we went to the scene and rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital.”
He further said, ‘We have impounded two cars. But the bus driver ran away.’
Jahangir Alam, assistant manager of the tunnel authority, told The Daily Star, ‘We are preparing to take legal action against the culprits in the incident.’
However, there was no damage to the tunnel in this accident, he said.
