Police recovered the melted body of an old man named Sultan Mirza (70) from Singair Upazila of Manikganj. Later, the son identified the father’s body by looking at the clothes on the body of the skeleton.

The deceased Sultan Mirza was a resident of Dakshin Dhalla village of Dhalla Union of Singair Upazila. The body was recovered from Fordnagar area of ​​Dhalla Union of the upazila around 12:30 pm on Friday (November 3).

Deceased son Nesar Uddin said that they came from Patuakhali Sadar Upazila and have been living in Dakshin Dhalla area for 7-8 years. His father Sultan Mirza was an auto driver by profession. He went missing on October 3. After a lot of searching, I filed a missing GD at Singair police station without finding him. Can’t say who or why killed his father.

Singair Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Syed Mizanur Islam said that locals informed the police after seeing a body tied to a billboard pole in the river near the wood garden in Fordnagar area of ​​Dhalla Union of Singair Upazila. The body was recovered from the spot after receiving information. The deceased’s son, Neshar Uddin, identified the body by looking at his father’s clothes. The body has been sent to Manikganj Sadar Hospital Morgue for post-mortem. Legal action in this regard is under process.
