He died at the Mymensingh Medical College (MMEC) hospital on Friday evening. Earlier in the afternoon, the incident took place at Chamta on the Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway.

The deceased college student is the son of Abdul Samad of Kakchar village of Nandail municipality. He is an eleventh class student of local government Shahid Smriti Adarsh ​​College.

According to the family sources of the deceased, Mahmudul Hasan Ripon (18) went for a ride with his friends on a motorcycle today (Friday) afternoon. The motorcycle collided with an autorickshaw at Chamta on the Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway around 5 pm. Ripon was seriously injured. At that time his friends ran away. Later the locals rescued him in injured condition and took him to Mymensingh Medical College (MAMEC) Hospital. He died at the hospital around 7:30 pm.

The cousin of the deceased, Masud Rana, told this newspaper on mobile phone, ‘He died in Mymensingh Medical College Hospital after being injured in a road accident while traveling with friends. He is the youngest son of the family.’

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nandale Model Police Station Rasheduzzaman told Ajker newspaper, ‘I have heard the news of the death. The boy was injured in a motorcycle accident in the afternoon, later died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.’
