Two people, including an eighth grader, were killed in a separate road accident in Meherpur’s Gangni. These two accidents happened on Friday (November 3) afternoon.

The deceased are – Bulu Mandal (57), son of martyred freedom fighter Harech Uddin of Degree College Para, Gangni town area, and Saeed Hossain (15), son of Shahin of Hijalbaraya village and eighth grade student of Suryodaya School and College.

It is reported that Saeed lost control while riding his motorcycle and hit a tree on the side of the road. Later, the locals rescued him and took him to Gangni Upazila Health Complex, where he was pronounced dead by the on-duty doctor Seema Biswas.

On the other hand, Bulu Mandal was killed after being hit by an oil truck in Gangni Bazar.

Gangni Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tajul Islam told Dhaka Post that the police were sent to the spot after receiving news of two separate road accidents. After the legal process, the bodies of the two have been handed over to their families.
