Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will send cricket World Cup match tickets to West Bengal Legislative Assembly MLAs. CAB President Snehashis Gangopadhyay came to the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday afternoon. When Sourav Gangopadhyay’s grandfather Snehashis came to the assembly, he was taken to Speaker Biman Banerjee’s room. There was a long talk between the speaker and him.

A letter was sent to the CAB from the Speaker’s office in the Legislative Assembly on Monday. The letter sent by the Speaker’s office said to give one ticket each to the members of the assembly. After receiving that letter, Snehashis came to the assembly on Wednesday. Biman said about the meeting with him later, “The CAB president told me about their limitations. They will report their position to my office on Thursday. However, the Legislative Assembly Secretariat will be confirmed only if the CAB informs about this on Thursday.

It should be noted that 2023 World Cup cricket is scheduled to be played at Eden Gardens. So far Netherlands vs Bangladesh and Pakistan vs Bangladesh matches have been held in Eden. Next Sunday, November 5, India has a match against South Africa. Apart from this, England vs Pakistan match will be held in Eden on November 11. And on November 16, the second semi-final match of the World Cup will take place. Tickets for India vs South Africa match on 5th are sold out. Therefore, CAB will not be able to give tickets for that match to MLAs. For the time being, tickets for the November 11 and 16 matches may be given to members of the Assembly.
