Investigations by Rumor Scanner team show that the circular claiming ‘Emergency Notice Regarding Postponement of All Examinations to be held on 02/11/2023 (Thursday) under National University’ is fake. In fact, the National University has not published any such notification. On October 28, a notice was published on the university’s website announcing that all examinations on October 29 scheduled to be held under the National University have been postponed due to unavoidable reasons. The notification in question has been prepared by editing that notification with the help of digital technology.
At the beginning of the search, a notification was found on the official website of the National University on October 28 through the keyword search titled ‘Emergency notice regarding the suspension of all examinations to be held on 29/10/2023 (Sunday) under the National University’.
On perusal of the notification, it is seen that the said notification is identical to the notification no.

After reviewing the other circulars published on the website of the National University, it is seen that there is a difference in the memo no. Also note the difference in the writing font of the official notification of the National University with the notification circulated in the said claim.

Rumor scanner team also talked to Deputy Controller of Examinations (Professional) Md. Shahanur Rahman Saad of National University to verify the authenticity of the circular. He said, no such notification has been published by the National University; This is completely fake.
That is, the National University has not published any notification regarding the postponement of all examinations to be held on 02/11/2023 (Thursday).
Basically, on October 28, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) held a mass meeting in Nayapaltan of the capital to demand the fall of the government. But in various places including Kakrail, the rally ended in clashes between the activists and the police. Therefore, the party’s general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called for morning and evening strike across the country the next day. In view of which, the National University announced the suspension of all examinations to be held on October 29. Later, the BNP announced to hold a blockade program from October 31 to November 2. Since then, a notice entitled ‘Emergency notice regarding suspension of all examinations to be held under National University on 02/11/2023 (Thursday)’ is being circulated on social media Facebook. However, a search by RumorScanner shows that the popular notification claiming to be in question is fake. No such notification has been circulated by the National University. In fact, it was created by editing the October 28 notification with the help of digital technology.
Therefore, the claim of postponement of all examinations to be held on 02/11/2023 (Thursday) under the National University is false and the notification circulated in the said claim is false and fabricated.
