Faridpur: A housewife named Shahnaz Begum (40) of Salthar of Faridpur died while undergoing treatment due to dengue.

Besides, in the last 24 hours, 39 patients were treated for dengue in different hospitals in the upazila.

The death of the housewife was confirmed in a press release sent to the media from the Faridpur Civil Surgeon’s office on Wednesday (November 1) morning.

Shahnaz Begum is the wife of Mahafuz Sheikh of Ataro-Khardia village of Jadunandi union of upazila.

Earlier on Tuesday (October 31) night, the housewife died while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur.

The director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur confirmed the death. Md. Enamul Haque said that a housewife named Shahnaz Begum was admitted to the hospital last Monday around 1 pm due to dengue. He died on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment.
