Who does not know about the great cricketing talent of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni, who was always cool on the field, took Indian cricket to another height. India won the World Cup in two formats. The captain also completed his life by winning the Champions Trophy in 2013.

But his journey was quite exciting. Before becoming a cricketer, he was a railway ticket checker. And the experience there was later useful in the field of cricket. More precisely, in the match against Bangladesh. Dhoni himself revealed the matter.

Former Indian railway ticket checker in Kharagpur, West Midnapore district of India. From there he came to master the Bengali language by listening to it. Even though he couldn’t say it, Dhoni understood it right. Captain Kul Mahi made a fool of Bangladesh by using that education.

Dhoni recently went to Kolkata during the World Cup as a commercial ambassador of an organization. However, the former India captain talked about cricket, contact with Kolkata and knowing Bengali even during the campaign. Among these words, the video of the incident in which he told the story of learning Bengali is now viral on social media.

This former captain said there, ‘I understood Bengali very well while working in railways in Kharagpur. It may be wrong to say now. Some may feel bad about it.’

Then recalling the game against the Bangladesh cricket team, he said, ‘We were playing a match in Bangladesh. I was batting. They did not know that I understand Bengali. The wicketkeeper was yelling from one side and saying something to the fast bowler. I also understand what you will say. So after the match they were talking among themselves. Seeing my reaction, they were like, Hey, Bengali can understand this!’

The audience in the hall burst into laughter after hearing the incident. Dhoni played 34 matches between 2004 and 2016 in three editions in Bangladesh. Won 25 matches.
