Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh said, Bandarban district’s Madhya Ruma upazila was very remote and backward. After taking charge of the Awami League government, with the sincerity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there has been development in every sector including roads, bridges, schools-colleges, mosques, temples, khiang, electricity, solar, agriculture and tourism development in the hill districts.
He said, there is no sector where development has not been touched.
He also said that before the formation of the Awami League government, Raja Badshara was also in power, but they could not show development like the Awami League government. They basically did not want to educate boys and girls by making themselves kings and common people as subjects. Because if the sons and daughters of the people are educated, they will not have titles, they did not build schools and colleges. And Sheikh Hasina’s government has created universities where there are colleges and degree colleges where there are schools, giving importance to education. The minister said that Bangladesh, the bottomless basket called by Henry Kissinger, is a role model of development to the world today.
Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh MP said these things in an exchange meeting with various levels of government officials and local public representatives working in Ruma Upazila on Tuesday at Ruma Upazila Parishad Bhavan premises in Bandarban district.
This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry.
