Bangladesh is getting 1 lakh dollars (about 1 crore 8 lakh taka) for playing the ICC Test Championship. Although the Tigers do not have much success in this cycle.
They are 9 in the list with 1 win, 10 loss and 1 draw in 12 matches with 11.11 percent points. The Test Championship 2021-23 cycle will come down with the India-Australia final at the Oval on June 7.
ICC has announced the prize money of the Test Championship today. The champion team will get 16 lakh dollars (about 17 crore 15 lakh taka). The runner-up team will be given 8 lakh dollars (about 8 crore 58 lakh taka).
Being third in the table, South Africa is getting 4 lakh 50 thousand dollars (Tk 4 crore 82 lakh) and England being fourth is getting 3 lakh 50 thousand dollars (Tk 3 crore 75 lakh). Sri Lanka was also in the race for the final of the Test Championship. However, they have to be content with five after losing the series to New Zealand. So the Lankans are getting 2 lakh dollars (about 2 crore 15 lakh taka). Besides, the teams in 6th to 9th of the table will get one hundred thousand dollars each.
In all, the ICC has determined a prize money of 3.8 million dollars (Tk 40 crore 73 lakh). The figure of prize money was the same in the previous cycle as well.
