A bus carrying Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Qamar Abbas Khokhar and his family members collided head-on with a private car in Brahmanbaria. Although the private car was damaged, he and his family members were unharmed.

The accident took place in Rampur area of ​​Vijaynagar upazila on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at around 11:30 on Friday (May 26).

Deputy High Commissioner Qamar Abbas Khokhar, his wife Rehena Sarwar Khokhar, daughter Huda Abbas Khokhar, son Mohammad Khokhar were in the private car.

In this incident, the bus driver Saiful Islam (30) was arrested by the police.

Confirming the incident, Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akul Biswas said that no one was injured in the incident. They stayed at the police station for some time and went to Srimangal.

According to the police, Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan Qamar Abbas Khokhar himself was going to Srimangal with his family by driving a private car. Meanwhile, there was a head-on collision with a local Durant Paribahan bus coming from the opposite direction. Although the private car was slightly damaged, the Deputy High Commissioner and his family members survived. Later they stayed at the police station for a while and went to Srimangal.
