Prize money announcement of Test Championship, the winning team will get 1.6 million dollars

Sports Desk: The second edition of the World Test Championship will come down amid the India-Australia title battle. The battle of prestige will be held at the Oval in England on June 7. Two weeks before the title fight, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a total of $3.8 million in prize money for the 2021-23 Test Championship. Cricinfo

There is prize money for each team participating in the competition. Each team, including champions, runners-up, will receive different sums of money. It should be noted that the same ($3.8 million) prize money was in the inaugural World Test Championship.

In a press release on Friday (May 26), the ICC said that the champion team of the competition will receive 1.6 million dollars, while the prize money for the runner-up team will be 8 million dollars. However, if the match is a draw, the two teams will share a total of 2.4 million dollars. ICC

South Africa, the third-placed team in the second round, gets four and a half million dollars. There are three and a half million dollars for England, which is the fourth. Sri Lanka, who finished fifth, will get $200,000.
