Personal Representative: The whole family ate bara at dinner. That bara is made with dal, egg and besan. A minor died of food poisoning. 4 members of the same family are under treatment in the hospital due to illness.
The incident in Kumorpara area of Halishahar in Nadia. The name of the deceased is Shreyasi De. Only 8 years old. 4 other members of the family including the deceased’s mother are admitted to hospital in Kalyani. According to family sources, they had drunk on Monday night. After that, stomach upset. They were admitted to JMA Hospital if their condition did not improve despite going to the toilet repeatedly. The minor died that night. Doctors said that death and illness occurred due to food poisoning.
The deceased’s mother Shikha De, grandfather Gopal De, sister Bulbul De and aunt Subhadra De are undergoing treatment in the hospital. However, as Subhadra’s condition worsened, she was shifted to another hospital.
According to police and hospital sources, the body of the deceased has been sent for autopsy. The body will be handed over to the family on Friday.
