4 people including two madrasa students died in separate incidents in Sherpur

Two farmers and two madrasa students died in separate incidents in Sherpur. These deaths occurred separately in Sherpur Sadar and Nalitabari on Thursday.
Meanwhile, two farmers have been reported dead due to electrocution in Andharia Suti Pari of Sherpur Sadar. They are Mozammel Haque (52) and Saidul Islam (40).
Locals said that the farmer Mozammel Haque connected the electricity to the adjacent paddy fields by pulling a bamboo pole from his house. He went to repair a downed power line on Thursday afternoon when the pole fell in the storm and got entangled in it. Saidul Islam also got electrocuted when he came to save him. Both died on the spot.
On the same day in the afternoon, the police recovered the dead body of Shaon Ahmed (9), a second class student of Madinatul Qaumi Madrasa and Orphanage, Kanasakhola, from a pond adjacent to the Madrasa. Shaon Upazila Dhala Union of Bakerkanda village. Saji Mia’s son.
According to the police, Shawn was missing since Wednesday evening. The child’s body was found floating in the pond on Thursday afternoon. Later the police went and recovered the body.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Bachir Ahmed Badal said, “Legal measures are in process in that incident.”
Meanwhile, another 12-year-old child named Jewel Mia died after being strangled by a cow rope in Gollarpar village of Nalitabari in the district. Jewel is a student of a local Hefjul Quran Madrasah.
A case of wrongful death has been registered in Nalitabari police station in this incident.
