Regarding the incident, eyewitness Amit Biswas said, ‘I was going to fetch milk by bicycle. Visibility was low due to the fog and the front could not be clearly seen. That’s when the car collided head-on with the lorry. Local residents rushed to rescue the injured and arranged to send them to the hospital. Another witness said, ‘This accident happened on the road. Visibility was a problem due to thick fog. I went to the spot on hearing the noise.’
