Mustafizur Rahman of Chennai Super Kings will return home in the middle of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) ahead of the T20 World Cup and the upcoming T20 series against Zimbabwe in June. Australia’s Mike Hussey, the team’s batting coach, commented that the return of this left-handed pacer from Bangladesh is a loss for Chennai.

Mustafiz is in a great rhythm in the current IPL. He was man of the match with 4 wickets for 29 runs in the first match of Chennai. After playing 5 matches for Chennai, Fiz took wickets in all of them. So far, this left-arm pacer has bowled 24 overs and taken 11 wickets for 226 runs after playing 6 matches. His bowling average is 20.54, economy 9.41.

Due to the international schedule of the national team, Mustafiz will get a chance to play only three more matches for Chennai. Because the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has given Mustafiz a no-objection letter till May 1. However, Chennai will suffer if Mustafiz leaves the team, Hasi said.

Praising Mustafiz’s slower delivery, Hussey told the Indian media, ‘He (Mustafiz) can do great slower deliveries. His delivery game is very difficult for the batters. Especially in the field of Chennai. We will suffer a lot when he goes back to Bangladesh. But his country has called him. We wanted to keep him as long as possible. We are happy with his performance so far.’
