The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 17-member squad for the preparation camp for the upcoming Zimbabwe series. Cricketers like Parvez Hossain Imon, Tanveer Islam and Mohammad Saifuddin have been called up for the camp team.

However, Shakib Al Hasan and Mostafizur Rahman are not in this team announced for the preparation camp. It is known that Shakib may return from the US and play in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Then join the team. Four players who were in the squad for the last series against Sri Lanka are absent from the preparation camp. They are Naeem Sheikh, Enamul Haque Vijay, Taijul Islam and Mostafizur Rahman.

The Zimbabwe cricket team is coming to Bangladesh on April 28 to play a five-match Twenty20 series. BCB has not announced the squad for the upcoming series though. 34 cricketers participated in the Bangladesh team’s fitness test ahead of the series. 17 cricketers will prepare in Chittagong from 26 to 28 April.

The first three T20s of the series will be played at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on May 3, 5 and 7 respectively. Then the last two matches will be held on May 10 and 12 at Mirpur Sher Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
