Yuzvendra Chahal became the first cricketer in the world to reach the milestone of 200 wickets in IPL. The Rajasthan Royals leg-spinner set a new precedent by dismissing Mumbai Indians all-rounder Mohammad Nabi in Jaipur on Monday.

Before Monday’s Rajasthan-Mumbai match, Chahal had 199 wickets in the IPL. He needed one wicket to reach the milestone of 200 wickets. On this day, Chahal reached that milestone by dismissing Nabi in the eighth over of Mumbai. Chahal took the catch himself. That is, he took the 200th wicket of IPL entirely on his own merit. He set a precedent in the 153rd match. Chahal is in a familiar form in this year’s IPL. He is also in the lead in the purple hat race. Chahal is joint top with 13 wickets with Jaspreet Bumrah. It should be noted that Chahal made his debut in IPL in 2013.
