Pacer Mustafizur Rahman is not playing in the entire season of IPL because of the Zimbabwe series at home in the beginning of May. This left-handed pacer will get a chance to play till the tenth match of Chennai Super Kings. Chennai’s batting coach Michael Hussey feels that Mustafiz’s departure in the middle is unfortunate.

Chennai will host Lucknow Super Giants at home on Tuesday (April 23). Hasi spoke about Mustafiz in the press conference before this important match. Saying that Chennai will be sad to see Mustafiz leave, Hussey said, ‘Mustafizur Rahman has a great slower pace, which is difficult to understand, especially in Chennai. However, we will feel bad if he goes back to Bangladesh, but his country is calling him. I want to keep Mustafiz as long as he can. We are satisfied with his performance.

BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus said that BCB has decided to keep Mustafiz fit and fresh keeping in mind not only the Zimbabwe series but also the World Cup. Cricketers hope that Mustafiz will keep the pace of IPL on the stage of the World Cup as well.

BCB has allowed Mustafiz to play IPL till May 1. Chennai will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings on April 28 and May 1 respectively. He can be seen in the XI in those two matches as he is at home.

Mustafiz has played a total of six matches in this season so far. He picked up 11 wickets bowling at an average of 20.54 and an economy of 9.41. And Mustafiz’s team Chennai is fourth in the points table after winning four out of seven matches.
