Silva made amends for the mistakes he made when they were knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday by Real Madrid in a penalty shootout and led the team to victory. The Portuguese star scored the only goal of the tight contest six minutes from time to keep alive the hopes of retaining the domestic double. Having a poor day in front of goal, Nicholas Jackson wasted a number of chances that Chelsea must regret. The Londoners are also disappointed by not getting a penalty. City weren’t at their best without the injured Arling Haaland but eventually got the win and survived the half. Manchester United and Coventry will meet in the second semi-final today.
