He created a new controversy by being ‘timed out’ in the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The question arises, what is this ‘timed out’? Asalanka (Charith Asalanka), however, does not support Mathews getting out like this. He says, getting out like this pollutes the ‘spirit of cricket’. Hurts the spirit of cricket.
