Two people died from Aedes mosquito-borne dengue disease in the country from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday. During this period, 437 new patients were identified.
Among them, 306 were admitted to various public and private hospitals in Dhaka and the remaining 131 were admitted to various hospitals outside Dhaka.
The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health has informed this information in a circular.
According to the notification, 1 thousand 529 dengue patients are currently under treatment in various hospitals across the country. Among them, 1 thousand 183 patients are admitted in Dhaka and 346 patients are admitted in different hospitals outside Dhaka.
According to the official report, from January 1 to September 22, 2022, a total of 12 thousand 875 patients were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 10 thousand 17 people were admitted in Dhaka and 2 thousand 858 dengue patients were admitted outside Dhaka.
On the other hand, after the treatment, 11 thousand 298 people went home with discharge from the hospital. Among them, 8 thousand 813 people are residents of Dhaka and the remaining 2 thousand 485 people are outside Dhaka.
With the death of two people on Thursday, the death toll due to dengue has reached 48 this year.
