Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abdur Rahman (current duty) has been temporarily suspended for allegedly leaking SSC exam question papers in Bhurungamari, Kurigram. The decision was announced in a letter signed by Vipul Chandra Biswas, Deputy Director (General Administration) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka on Thursday (September 22).
According to the notification, Upazila Secondary Education Officer (ongoing duty) Abdur Rahman has been temporarily suspended as per the rules of 2(b) and (a) of Government Servant Rules (Discipline and Appeal) 2018 for negligence in performance of duties.
Last Tuesday there was a complaint of question paper leak in Bhurungamari.
Later Bhurungamari NU High School Headmaster, Central Secretary Lutfar Rahman and Secondary Education Officer Abdur Rahman were taken to the police station for questioning. Later, center secretary Lutfar Rahman along with other two assistant teachers were arrested and a case was filed by center tag officer and upazila fisheries officer Adam Malik Chowdhury. In this incident, the police on Wednesday brought two more teachers and office assistants of the school to the police station for questioning and arrested them and sent them to Kurigram Jail.
