Popular actress Nusrat Faria praised the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at the release and poster unveiling ceremony of ‘Operation Sundarban’. Faria played the role of a tiger researcher named Tanya Kabir in this movie. The heroine said, ‘The amount of effort RAB is giving from the beginning of the movie till now is unbelievable.’
On the occasion of the release and poster unveiling of the movie, a press conference was organized at RAB Media Center in Karwan Bazar of the capital on Thursday afternoon. Nusrat Faria praised RAB while speaking there. The actress also said that she feels blessed to be a part of the movie ‘Operation Sundarban’.
Sharing the thrilling experience of shooting this movie, Faria said, ‘When we dropped the unit in the deep Sundarbans, there was no network. I was separated from the world for 35 consecutive days. I could not even talk to my parents for these 35 days. At that time, everyone in the shooting unit was my family. So this movie and my character will stay with me for the rest of my life.’
‘Operation Sundarban’ is produced by RAB Cooperative Society. Directed by ‘Dhaka Attack’ fame director Dipankar Deepan. Apart from Nusrat Faria, Siam Ahmed, Ziaul Roshan, Riaz, Manoj Pramanik, Samina Bashar, Taskin Rahman, Raisul Islam Asad, Murad Parvez and other RAB members acted in various roles.
Almost all of the cast and crew were present at Thursday’s press conference. National actor and Member of Parliament Asaduzzaman Noor was present as the chief guest. In the conference, the production and context of the film was highlighted by RAB Headquarters Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin.
Before this, the official trailer of ‘Operation Sundarban’ was released on July 29. The trailer was released at 5 pm that day at Labani Beach in Cox’s Bazar. IGP was present as the chief guest at that event. Benazir Ahmed.
The Sundarbans, rich in fish and forest resources, have long been under the control of pirates. The pirates were forced to surrender along with a huge cache of arms and ammunition during RAB’s nearly two-year adventure. On November 1, 2018, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made a historic declaration that the Sundarbans were pirate-free.
The exciting story of RAB’s success in Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest, is presented in the movie ‘Operation Sundarbans’. It is the country’s first wildlife action thriller film. The movie will release nationwide on September 23. Keeping that in mind, the poster was released on Thursday.
