Ranakshetra Na.Ganj, killed in BNP-police clash

Narayanganj: Bangabandhu road in the city has turned into a battleground in the clash between police and BNP leaders and activists due to the obstruction of BNP’s foundation anniversary program in Narayanganj. Meanwhile, the police opened fire to control the situation.

A Chhatra Dal leader was shot and killed. Apart from this, many people including Azmir Islam, district representative of Mohana TV, were shot dead.

The incident took place in Mandalpara area of ​​Railway Gate No. 2 on Bangabandhu Road in the city from 11 am on Thursday (September 1). Hundreds of policemen, journalists, BNP Chhatra Dal Jubo Dal were shot and seriously injured in the clash.

Meanwhile, BNP leaders and workers as well as local Morgan schoolgirls fell ill in the police tearcell.

District BNP Acting Convener Monirul Islam Ravi said that our Chhatra Dal leader of Enayatnagar Ward No. 3 Shaon has died due to bullet injuries. More than 200 leaders and activists including Rakib Raj, vice-president of our district Chhatra Dal, were injured. Hundreds were shot.

He said, “Our peaceful anniversary rally was interrupted and opened fire by the police without provocation.” But we were doing the program with permission.
