BGB has been deployed again to keep the situation calm in the case of two workers being beaten to death in Panchpalli of Dumain Union of Madhukhali Upazila of Faridpur.

On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Ahsan Talukder told reporters, “Considering the overall situation, four platoons of BGB have been deployed again. They will work in Madhukhali and the city.”

The Deputy Commissioner said that they have started patrolling.

On Thursday evening, angry mobs attacked the construction workers stationed at a nearby primary school over the incident of fire at a Kali temple in Panchpalli village of Dumain Union of Madhukhali upazila. Construction of school toilet was going on. That’s why the workers were there.

Two workers lost their lives in mob beating. They are Shahjahan Khan’s son Ashraful (21) and his brother Ashadul (15) of Ghoperghat village in Nawapara union of the upazila. Five more workers injured in the incident are undergoing treatment.

The BGB was deployed there from Friday morning, the day after the incident. The BGB was withdrawn on Monday.

Locals protested by blocking the Dhaka-Khulna highway on Tuesday in protest of the killing. After about five hours of closure, traffic on the highway returned to normal.

Several protestors were injured besides law enforcement personnel. They were treated at Faridpur Bangabandhu Medical College Hospital and Madukhali Health Complex.

Then BGB was deployed again.

Livestock Minister at the home of the deceased

The Minister of Fisheries and Livestock expressed his condolences and condolences to the family members of the two construction workers who died. Abdur Rahman.

On Wednesday evening, he went to the house of two workers killed in Choperghat village of Naopara union of Madhukhali upazila. At this time, he assured justice to the family members.

Later, the minister assured the father of the two slain brothers a battery-powered van and repayment of loans taken from various NGOs.

Later in the night, the minister visited the scene of Panchpalli village in Dumaine Union. At that time Railway Minister Zillul Hakim joined there.

In addition, DIG Syed Nurul Islam, Dhaka Range of Police, Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamrul Ahsan Talukder, Police Superintendent Mohammad Morshed Alam, District Awami League President Shamim Haque, General Secretary Shah Md. Ishtiaq Arif was present.
