In an interview to India Today, Ileana D’Cruz elaborated on the reasons behind her break from films. He said it was not a pre-planned decision. But he always works selectively. But the lockdown during the Corona period also stood in the way. So he had to stumble out of work. He was mentally disturbed.

Ileana D’Cruz comments, ‘Obviously, when one works one wants to do as much as possible. But some are very selective. I am also very selective. But what happened to me happened in 2020. My movie ‘Tera Kya Hoga Lovely’ was being shot then, but at that time the corona epidemic was spreading. Even the movie ‘Do Or Do Pair’ was shot in 2021, but has now released. So my everything is delayed.’
Although Ileana D’Cruz is returning to theaters after a long time, she has done some OTT work during this time. In 2021, she was seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the webfilm ‘The Big Bull’. Speaking in detail about the OTT work, he said that he started shooting for a web series in 2022. But she had to take a break later due to pregnancy.
He said, ‘Most of the time after that I was busy with myself. Then I had a child. So now my first choice is children. I would never want to be away from home now. I think the most important thing for me now is to be with my child. But I have never decided to take a break from work before. Now people are appreciating my film, it’s a joy for me.’

In the same interview, Ileana talked about not undergoing physical changes for her character Nora in the movie ‘Do Or Do Pair’. The actress said she agreed to do the film because the director did not ask her to be slim fit for the role.
Ileana commented, ‘Honestly, when I was offered the film, I immediately said yes. After agreeing, I spoke to the director. I specifically told him, I am not the fittest at the moment. At the moment I am not a slim actress. So if you want to see me in a certain avatar or slim fit, I won’t do the film.’
‘I was going through a very difficult time. Because I felt that I had gained a lot of weight. I always felt like I had a mental breakdown.’
