Chuadanga: Chuadanga saw rain amid intense heat. On Tuesday (April 23) in the middle of the night, it rained in the district.

After the rain, relief fell at night, but the temperature increased from the morning. As the day progressed, the heat of the sun increased. The mercury also rises in temperature. The highest temperature recorded in this district on Wednesday was 41.2 degrees Celsius.

Meteorological office says, there is no good news about this heat wave. The heatwave will continue for a few more days.

Meanwhile, people are suffering from severe heat. The temperature has increased by 2 degrees in the last two days. This increased the discomfort.

Rakibul Hasan, Senior Observer of Chuadanga First Class Meteorological Observatory, said, Chuadanga recorded a temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius at 3 pm today. At that time the humidity was 21 percent.

He added that although it rained last night. 1.6 mm of rainfall was recorded. But for now there is no chance of rain. However, it is not possible to tell about the Kalbaisakhi storm without an hour and a half in advance.

According to Chuadanga Meteorological Observatory, the highest temperature recorded in the district from 2002 to 2024 was on May 21, 2014. The temperature that day was 43.2 degrees Celsius. Besides, 43 degrees Celsius on June 2, 2005, 42.9 degrees Celsius on June 4, 2012, 42.4 degrees Celsius on May 13, 2004. And on April 27, 2009, the highest temperature was recorded at 41.8 degrees Celsius. Last year on April 19-20, 2023, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.8 degrees Celsius. Besides, 42.5 degrees Celsius and 42.2 degrees Celsius were recorded on April 20, 2024 and on April 22, 2024.
