According to the sources of National Board of Revenue (NBR), there are 84 lakh 60 thousand 384 TIN holders in the country as per the calculations received till December 31. In the previous six years, 6.45 lakh people had taken TIN. Then every year an average of 11 lakh taxpayers took TIN.
43 list of services
Before the current financial year, submission of income tax return was mandatory for availing 38 types of services. However, in the current financial year, its scope has been increased to 43 services.
One of these 43 services is if you apply for a loan of more than 20 lakh rupees; If you buy more than five lakh rupees savings certificate; If you take a credit card; If a director or shareholder of a company; If a member of a trade association; If one’s child or pet attends an English medium school; Taking arms license; Candidates in upazila, municipality, district council, city corporation and national elections; If working as a doctor, engineer, architect, chartered accountant; Obtaining and renewing a trade license; To take connection of government services including gas-electricity in city corporation area; If there is a term deposit of more than 10 lakh rupees; If the government employee receives a basic salary of more than 16 thousand rupees; of the landlord while taking rent or lease in the City Corporation area by the specified person; When the service or product is received by the specified person of the supplier of that product or service; To open and maintain bank accounts of Trusts, Funds, Foundations, NGOs, Microcredit Disbursing Organizations, Societies and Co-operative Societies; to register or maintain a license or enrollment as a vendor or deed writer in stamps, court fees and cartridge paper; Capital Development Authority, Chittagong Development Authority, Khulna Development Authority, Rajshahi Development Authority, Gazipur Development Authority, Cox’s Bazar Development Authority or other such authorities constituted by the Government from time to time or other City Corporations, when submitting the building design application for approval to the Municipality.
