The UEN Homeroom Podcast gives our Utah educators an opportunity to tell the stories and discuss issues affecting education in the state and beyond. We plan to profile educators and leaders from across Utah in a fun and informative bi-monthly podcast. Our hosts, Dani and Matt, have a wide range of interests from innovation and computer science to the latest gadgets and personalized learning

Danny Sloan An IT product manager, lecturer and podcast host at UEN. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, a master’s degree in instructional design and educational technology, and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from the University of Utah. Danny teaches information literacy, digital citizenship, and helps educators improve their leadership skills. Outside of work, Danny enjoys reading, sleeping, watching scary reality TV shows, hiking, and laughing with friends and family.

Matthew Winters An educational technology specialist for the Utah Education Network. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature, an MA in English Language and Literature, and an MA in Educational Curriculum and Instruction. As a teacher, he traveled the world, visiting places like Turkey, Ireland and Japan. He is an avid record collector and will show you his vinyl collection in a heartbeat.
