For the second consecutive year, CNBC and independent research firm Statista have collaborated to select the world’s top financial technology companies and list them in a CNBC report published in July this year.

Nominations are now open for the World’s Leading FinTech Companies list. To qualify, companies must primarily focus on developing or providing innovative, technology-based and finance-related products and services.

You Can Check Last year’s list of top 200 fintech companies included the Chinese tech giant Ant group And TencentAmerican financial technology company PayPal and Stripe, as well as European companies such as Klarna and Revolut.

In addition to the fintech list, CNBC also launched a separate list featuring the world’s top insurance technology (insurtech) companies, which will be published in August. The decision to launch a list of the world’s top insurtech companies comes against the backdrop of tremendous innovation in the insurance industry, which is expected to be worth close to $6.5 trillion by 2023. The insurance industry is proving ripe for digital disruption, as a new wave of digitally native companies have eliminated the paper-based processes that previously dominated the industry.

Companies can submit information for consideration by clicking here.

Applicants will enter a short form hosted by Statista and be asked a series of questions about their business model and some key performance indicators, including revenue growth.

Companies will also be asked for the first time which three businesses they consider to be their main competitors. It will be used for CNBC’s coverage of the world’s leading companies.

Submission deadline It is April 24, 2024, 06:59 EDT.

In the application form, companies will be asked to select the market segment in which they operate from different categories.

For the FinTech list, companies will be recognized for their success in the following industry categories: Payments, NeoBank, Digital Assets, Alternative Finance, Asset Technology, Financial Planning, Digital Banking Solutions and Digital Business Solutions.

Within the InsurTech list, companies will likewise be asked to determine the market segment that best suits their business model. The categories will be divided into value chain innovations, such as underwriting and risk analytics and claims and fraud management, as well as new business models, such as digital insurance brokers and comparison sites, and insurers delivering on-demand and gig economy platforms.
