Advocate Enamul Islam Rubel, Central Joint Secretary-General of Jatiya Party-JP and President of Jatiya Yuba Saghati, has collected application forms for the nomination of Jatiya Party-JP for the post of Member of Parliament for Jhalkathi-1 (Kantalia-Rajapur) Constituency in the 12th National Parliament Election to be held on January 7. He took this nomination form from the general secretary of the party, Sheikh Shahidul Islam, from the central office of JP on Monday.
After receiving the nomination form, Advocate Enamul Islam Rubel while talking to the media urged all the voters to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming national elections and said that elections are the foundation of democracy. There is no journey of democracy without elections. And there is no alternative to elections to preserve the continuity of democracy. Because the core of democracy is the participation of the people in the governance of the state. People are involved in the governance of the state through their elected representatives. People’s representatives are elected through elections and the voters of the country play a major role here. Therefore, the presence of a large number of voters is desirable in any election, especially in the National Assembly elections.
