Dhaka: Joint convener of Rupnagar Thana volunteer team in the incident of fire in BRTC’s double-decker bus at Mirpur No. 10 roundabout in the capital. Sajedul Alam Tutul (45) was arrested by the police.
He was arrested from the scene of setting fire to a BRTC double-decker bus on the road in front of the fire service at Mirpur No. 10 roundabout on Monday (November 20) noon.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mirpur Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jasim Uddin Mollah told BanglaNews.
He said miscreants set fire to passengers in the BRTC bus. Most of the top of the car was gutted in the fire. Sajedul Alam Tutul, Joint Convener of Rupnagar Police Station Volunteer Team was arrested by raiding the spot.
This police officer said that the driver of the bus that was burnt in the fire identified the accused initially. The arrested accused is being interrogated. A case has been registered against him in the concerned police station.
