Dhaka: In the last 24 hours, 10 more people have died due to dengue. On this day, 1 thousand 748 people were admitted to hospital due to dengue.
This information was informed in a press release about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Sunday (November 12).
It is said that in the last 24 hours, 1,748 people were infected with dengue and were admitted to the hospital. Among them, 351 people in Dhaka and 1,397 people outside Dhaka were infected with dengue and admitted to hospital.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1,928 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country. Among them, 369 people from different hospitals in Dhaka and 1 thousand 559 people from different hospitals outside Dhaka have received clearance.
The notification also informed that 10 people have died due to dengue in the last 24 hours. Among them, two died in Dhaka and eight died outside Dhaka.
A total of 1,476 people have died due to dengue this year. Among them, 863 people are in Dhaka and 613 people are outside Dhaka.
As of November 12 this year, a total of 291 thousand 832 people have been affected by dengue. Among them, 1 lakh 3 thousand 578 people are in Dhaka and 1 lakh 88 thousand 254 people outside Dhaka.
A total of two lakh 84 thousand 173 dengue patients have received clearance from the hospital so far this year. Among them, 1 lakh 1 thousand 127 people from different hospitals in Dhaka and 1 lakh 83 thousand 46 people from different hospitals outside Dhaka have received clearance.
At present, a total of 6,183 dengue patients are admitted in hospitals across the country. 1 thousand 588 patients in Dhaka and 4 thousand 595 patients outside Dhaka are hospitalized.
It is also said that in the current year, the rate of getting clearance from the hospital due to dengue is 97 percent. The hospitalization rate is two percent and the mortality rate is 0.5 percent.
From January 1 to December 31 last year, a total of 62 thousand 382 patients were admitted to various hospitals in the country and a total of 281 people died due to dengue.
