Petrol bomb in moving covered van, burnt 2

Miscreants threw petrol bombs at a covered van in Kaliganj on the first day of the third phase of blockade called by BNP-Jamaat. Kaliganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mo Faizur Rahman PPM confirmed the matter on Wednesday (November 8) morning.

In the early morning of the same day, the miscreants set fire to another covered van carrying goods of Fresh Company in Galan area of ​​Nagri on Dhaka bypass road and escaped.

Firefighter Atiqur Rahman, duty officer of Kaliganj Fire Service, said, ‘Miscreants escaped by setting fire to a covered van in Galan area on Wednesday around five in the morning. The covered van (Dhaka U-14-0947) that was set on fire was going towards Gazipur via Dhaka Bypass Road carrying products of Fresh Company. After the miscreants started the fire, the matter was immediately reported to the Kaliganj Fire Service by calling the National Emergency Service 999 (Hotline). Later, at 6:10 in the morning, the fire service personnel under the leadership of Kaliganj Fire Service Leader Mostafizur Rahman reached the spot and brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes. . In the meantime, the glass of the covered van was broken and the front part and seat were burnt. At that time, the mechanic and the driver’s assistant (helper) in the covered van were burnt.
