Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left for the country after attending the international conference on ‘Women in Islam’ and performing Umrah. A Biman Bangladesh Airlines commercial flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage took off from King Abdulaziz International Airport at 10:54 PM local time (1:54 PM Bangladesh time) in Jeddah.
The flight is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 8 am on Wednesday.
Earlier, on the afternoon of November 5, the Prime Minister landed at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. After that, he visited the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) at Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah. Sheikh Hasina recited Fatiha and prayed there after Asr prayer.
He left Madinah and reached Makkah on the same day and night. Later, the Prime Minister performed the holy Umrah at Masjidul Haram (Kaaba Sharif) after Isha prayer.
On November 6, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the ‘Women in Islam’ conference and gave a speech. On the sidelines of this conference, he also met with the top officials of OIC and member countries.
Besides attending the conference, Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Women in Islam exhibition. He also attended the dinner organized in his honor.
Saudi Arabia jointly organized the conference with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) from November 6 to 8. Source: Bass.
