Shakib’s substitute victory in the World Cup

Shakib got injured while playing against Sri Lanka yesterday. Shakib injured his left finger while bowling in his second over. Still fulfilled his bowling quota, picking up 2 important wickets. He also played a great innings of 82 runs with the bat.

The X-ray report after the match showed that he had a torn finger. He will not be able to play the next match. As a result, this World Cup ended here for him. He is returning home on Tuesday.

About Shakib’s injury, national team physio Bayezidul Islam said, ‘At the beginning of the innings, Shakib got hurt on his left index finger. He continued batting after taking painkillers with tape on his hand. Later, an emergency X-ray was done on his hand in Delhi after the match. It can be seen that the pip joint of his left hand is cracked. Shakib will need three to four weeks to recover. Shakib is going back to the country to start the rehabilitation process today.’
