Dhaka: Laxmipur’s controversial by-election winner Mohammad Ghulam Farooq (PINGU) is staging a sit-in for the publication of the gazette at the Election Commission (EC), which is investigating rigging in the election.
The by-election of Lakshmipur-3 constituencies was held on Sunday (November 5).
It has been alleged that a man was seen repeatedly stamping the ballot on behalf of this candidate with the boat symbol in the election.
When a video of killing a seal went viral on social media, the returning officer said. Farhad Hossain formed an investigation committee to verify the truth of the incident and ordered the district election officer to submit the report by Wednesday (November 8).
The day after the formation of the investigation committee, Pingku appeared in the election building. He told reporters on Tuesday (November 7) that an election commissioner is his former acquaintance. Worked on Hajj together. So he came to meet him.
When asked about the illegal sealing of ballots in the polls, he said, Azad is not a member of the Chhatra League. Student camp. He has been expelled earlier for doing controversial work. He was expelled on charges of camping.
The president of Laxmipur district Awami League also said that Azad did these things in exchange of money to make us controversial. He has done these things to question the national election.

EC officials said that the returning officer has already sent the election results report to the Election Commission. The results are also presented in the document for gazette publication.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Rakib Hossain, the candidate of the plow symbol of that election, has also applied to take legal action by alleging rigging of the election. He said, I have filed a complaint. My allegation is true, the video has gone viral. Now the EC should take necessary action.

A video of the Lakshmipur by-election that went viral on social media on Monday (November 6) showed a man in a white Punjabi suit stamping the boat symbol one by one on the ballot paper.

According to media reports, the name of the person who killed the seal is Azad Hossain. He was the vice-president of Chandraganj Thana Chhatra League of Lakshmipur. However, he was recently expelled by the District Chhatra League for violating party discipline.
In Lakshmipur-3 by-election, Jatiya Party’s Muhammad Rakib Hossain in the plow symbol, Bangladesh Awami League’s Mohammad Golam Farooq in the boat symbol, Zaker Party’s Md. in the rose flower symbol. Salim Mahmud of the National People’s Party contested on Samchul Karim and Am Pratik. Total voters in this constituency are 4 lakh 3 thousand 744 people. Voting took place in 827 polling booths of 115 polling stations.
In the election, the candidate of the boat symbol Mohammad Golam Farooq Pingku won by getting 120 thousand 599 votes. The vote was 31.85 percent. His closest rival got 3,846 votes with the plow symbol.
