University of Dhaka: Again miscreants tried to set fire to a bus of Dhaka University (DU). However, there was no casualty as no one from the university was in the bus.
On Monday (November 6) at 5:20 pm, an attempt was made to set fire to a bus hired by the university under Mirpur No. 10 goal square.
University Transport Manager Kamrul Hasan confirmed this information to BanglaNews. He said, on the way back after dropping off our officials, the vehicle fell under the hands of miscreants under the metro station of Mirpur No. 10 Gol Chattar. They tried to set the car on fire. It burnt 3-4 seats of the car. But there was no one from the university in the car. There were no casualties.
Kamrul Hasan also said that the university has a single decker car hired from BRTC to transport officials on the Mirpur route. Instead of that car today they have given a double decker car, which they sometimes do when there is a shortage of single decker cars. These cars are rented according to the trip, not the university. As a result, it lowers the fares of the common passengers by lowering the officials. Even today, at such a moment, an attempt was made to set fire to the bus.
