Inauguration of Agargaon-Motijheel section of Metrorail Line-6 ​​on Saturday (November 4). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate a train from Agargaon station at noon on this day. Later he will go to Motijheel by train. On the occasion of the inauguration, the commercial movement of the metro rail will be closed.

Metrorail authorities said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the MRT Northern route after visiting Motijheel. At the same time unveil the plaque of MRT-5. Under MRT Line-5, 13 and a half kilometers of subway and 6 and a half kilometers of elevated road will be constructed from Hemayetpur to Bhatara.

After the inauguration on November 4, the Metrorail will be opened again for general passengers from November 5. From this day, the metro rail from Uttara North to Agargaon section will run as per the previous rules, but the movement in Agargaon-Motijheel section will be restricted for the time being. The second part of this MRT Line-6 ​​will start the Metrorail operation by opening three stations first. The stations are Farmgate, Bangladesh Secretariat and Motijheel. These three stations will be operational only for four hours at the beginning of the day.

From November 5, changes have also been made in the timetable of the metro rail. From this day, the morning will be increased by 1 hour instead of 8:30, metro rail will start from 7:30 in the morning. However, the Metrorail stoppage time has been kept unchanged at 8:30 pm. Besides, metro rail from Uttara North to Motijheel via Agargaon will run only till 11:30 am. Motijheel will not go after that. Then only Uttara North to Agargaon metro rail will run till 8:30 pm.

The fare from Uttara North and Uttara Center stations to Motijheel has been fixed at Tk 100, to Secretariat Tk 90 and to Farmgate Tk 70. The fare from Mirpur 10 to Motijheel is Tk 60, to Secretariat Tk 50, to Farmgate Tk 30.

The fare from Agargaon to Motijheel is Tk 50, to Secretariat Tk 40 and to Farmgate Tk 20.
