US President Joe Biden’s ‘alleged’ advisor arrested retired Lt. Court granted 8 days remand of Chowdhury General Hasan Sarwardy.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin’s court granted the remand on Wednesday (November 1).

Earlier, for the sake of proper investigation of the case, Hasan Sarwardi was requested to be remanded for 10 days by the investigating officer of DB Police Inspector Jamal Uddin Mir. On the other hand, his lawyer applied for bail. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin granted his eight-day remand after hearing both sides.

On October 29, a person named Mohiuddin Shikder filed a case at Paltan police station in the capital as a plaintiff. Retired Lt. including Mian Arefi in the case. General Hasan Sarwardy and BNP leader Ishrak Hossain have been made accused. After being arrested in this case, the court sent Mian Arefi to prison on October 30.

It should be noted that last Saturday (October 29) amid clashes surrounding the BNP rally, news spread that a delegation from the US Embassy was going to the BNP office. After that, the former army officer took Mian Arefi, the ‘alleged’ adviser of US President Joe Biden, to the BNP office.
