Lamia Ashraf Maula of Bangladeshi descent. An astrophysicist by profession.

NASA has taken pictures of thousands of galaxies in space even before the birth of the Earth. This photo was taken by James Web Space Telescope (JWST), a proud member of NASA’s telescope team Lamia Bangladeshi.

The most vivid and colorful picture of the universe captured through this telescope was released on Tuesday.

About 1,000 astronomers are working on the James Web Space Telescope (JWST) project. Lamia is one of them.

Those who think that galaxies in distant galaxies were about 1,300 billion years ago would give us a better idea of the origin of the universe.

The photo was released by US President Joe Biden at a White House event. He described the incident as a “historic” moment, saying it opened a new window into our cosmic history.

On Tuesday, Lamia posted the first picture published by NASA on her Facebook page and a picture of her with a few colleagues.

Lamia has been working with the Canadian team at JWST since 2020.

Lamia grew up in Shantinagar, Dhaka. A former student at Wills Little Flower School, he passed A level in the United States and did his PhD at Yale University in the United States. He later worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Dunlop Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto in 2020.
