A leader of the Chhatra Dal was shot dead in Narsingdi headquarters in a clash between two sides. Another person was shot.

Narsingdi District Chhatra Dal’s vice-president Main Uddin Bhuia, who was recently expelled from the committee, said that since the announcement of the committee, the leaders and workers of a section of the organization who did not get the position had been protesting to cancel the declared committee.

As a result of this, the Chinishpur residence of BNP Central Joint Secretary General and Narsingdi District Convenor Khairul Kabir Khokon has been attacked several times in the dispute between the two parties.

According to the police, on Thursday, a group of leaders and workers who did not get posts in the district committee were protesting with motorcycles near the BNP office in Chinishpur. At this time, the leaders and workers of another party attacked them. Sadek and Ashraful were shot in the head and back.

The injured were rescued first to Narsingdi District Hospital and later, if the condition worsened, they were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The police officer said that the cause of this incident is being investigated.
