French music legend Jean-Michel Jean is a very familiar face in Ancora’s use of new technology. It is said that he was ideal as the first passenger of the ‘flying car’ of the Slovakian company Kleinvision.

Dazzling ‘laser shows’ are commonplace at concerts. Apart from this, he is a very front-line artist in ‘Electronic’ and ‘New Age’ songs.

That’s why it was almost certain that he would take two flights in the record-breaking car at Slovakia’s Pistany International Airport. British media Sky News wrote in the report that this happened.

“One moment you’re talking to the driver, the next you’re floating in the air. It was an amazing experience!” – He said.

The vehicle can transform from a sports car to a plane in minutes. In 2021, it became the first flying car to complete an intercity flight, the report said.

The car has a 1600 cc ‘BMW engine’. However, Anton Zajac, co-founder of startup aviation company Kleinvision, told Sky News, “As the technology improves, we will make it battery-powered.”

“We are bridging the gap between road and sky. Giving cars the freedom that symbolized freedom 50 years ago.”

And to get this freedom, not only a driver’s license and a pilot’s license, but also a special flying course of two to three months will be required to drive the vehicle called Aircar. Zajac hopes it will be on the market within a year. And its approval for the flight was received in 2022.

Professor Stefan Klein and Zajac built the car in Slovakia. However, this is not the only flying car, reports Sky.

The first flying car to be allowed to operate on the road was the modern design car named ‘Model A’ of the American plane maker Alef Aeronautics. The vehicle received test flight approval from the country’s Federal Aviation Administration in 2022.

There are already about 3,000 advance orders for the car. And unlike the Kleinvision car, this car is electric.

The start-up company is backed by Elon Musk’s company SpaceX. According to the R Alef company website, “the car can drive on the road, ‘take off’ vertically when needed, and fly over other cars.”

However, it is considered a ‘low speed vehicle’. It cannot run at a speed of more than 40 km per hour. Also, a separate permit will be required to test the vehicle on a ‘public road’.

Meanwhile, in March, Kleinvision sold the technology that powers its cars to a Chinese company called Hebei Jianzhen Flying Car Technology Company.

China is leading the field of flying car technology. However, Sky writes that the country has a special eye on ‘Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing’ (EVTOL) vehicles.

In addition, the UK government has also expressed hope, under its ‘Future of Flight Action Plan’, that electric air taxis will become a reality by 2030.

“This is not science fiction anymore. It has already started.” – It is said in that report.
