American pop star Taylor Swift’s 11th studio album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ has been released more than a year after its announcement. However, there were allegations that the album was ‘leaked’ online before its release.
CNN writes, “The Tortured Poets Department” is published on Friday. But three days ago, a link to Google Drive containing 17 tracks was circulating on the internet.
The leak of the song prior to the album’s release received mixed reactions among Swift fans. Some people are excited about this incident. But most of the fans are very excited.
“True Swift fans put their hands up to see if you’ll listen to your favorite artist’s song from the leaked link,” wrote one outraged on micro-blogging site X.
Many have asked to look into why songs from the album that Taylor and her team worked so hard on were already available on social media.
“Swift and her team put a lot of planning into the release of this album. Leaking songs like this is a disrespect to his work.”
Many believe that the leaked songs are created by AI.
“I found Swift’s songs on the Internet. But I didn’t listen, I listened to the songs after the official release”, wrote a fan.
Swift received a worldwide response with her Years Tour. In February of this year, Swift made history by winning ‘Album of the Year’ for the fourth time in a row at the ‘Grammy Awards’, the most prestigious award in world music.
