So I left Mirchi for a fresh start. It is very difficult to say how much the career graph will rise and fall in the next two-three months! But fans will not be disappointed. But fans will miss Somak’s voice on FM but will see him on the silver screen. In this regard, he said, “Already there have been talks of new work with two or three directors. It is a separate entity of mine. I will take actor Somak Ghosh forward as soon as I get the opportunity. But I don’t want to break anything in detail about the next plan. Keep it a surprise!” It is to be noted that he has already captivated the audience in the film of ‘Ekenbabu’ franchise on the screen.
Recently, Somak made a Facebook post. Reminiscing on Mirchi’s early days, Somak writes, “Radio Mirchi started with an afternoon show. The name was ‘Hochhai Cafe’. 2 pm to 5 pm. I joined in November 2014. And I got the show in January 2015. Some college talk, some new songs and an under pressure Ancora RJ. Sometimes I felt disoriented. Mic in one hand, sound mixer in one hand, listener call or message in other hand. A gap of 12 seconds felt like an hour.”

Somak said that with the passage of time, he got good at doing live shows. In ‘Sunday Suspense’, various characters have come into play. Soon after this time ‘Sadashiv’ did. Today he will bid farewell to 98.3 Radio Mirchi by performing for the last time.
