Arijit Singh, who has long reigned as a playback singer in Tollygunge and Bollywood, does not like stardom. He tends to blend in more generally. But this singer can beat many people as property.
The newspaper daily wrote that Arijit, who believes in austerity in personal life, has an annual income of Rs 72 crore and a monthly income of close to Rs 6 crore.
Arijit charges Rs 8 to 10 lakh per song for playback of Bollywood movies. Besides, he took Rs. 1.5 crore for the concert.
Being one of the top playback artists in Hindi cinema, he does not live in Mumbai. However, four flats of Arijit have been found in Mumbai. Their value is around 9 crore rupees. Although the main place of work is Mumbai, Arijit lives in his village Murshidabad, Ziaganj. The children were not admitted to school in Mumbai, they also studied in Ziaganj.
Apart from flats, Arijit also has luxury cars in his garage. Among them are a Range Rover Vogue, a Hummer H3, a Mercedes Benz. But Arijit prefers local trains. Sometimes passengers can recognize Arijit wearing a mask on the train, sometimes they can’t.
Not just local trains, but Arijit’s choice of vehicle is scooty. Many times this singer has been caught on camera alone or with his wife on a scooter.
Arijit lives in Ziaganj almost all the time except for work. The singer is also associated with several charities.
Arijit was born on April 25, 1987 in Ziaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal. In 2005, at the age of 19, Arijit became known with the reality show ‘Fame Gurukul’.
But the singer’s path to fame was not easy in the beginning. In 2005, at the age of 18, he participated in a reality show called ‘Fame Gurukul’. But he did not have a place in the list of top five. Later, however, Arijit came into limelight by participating in other reality shows.
Although Arijit did not get any award from ‘Fame Gurukul’, he was recognized by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali from there. Released in 2007, Bhansali recorded the song ‘U Shabnami’ with Arijit in his movie ‘Saawariya’. But later, Arijit’s voice was dropped from the song. That song was sung by singer Parthiv Gohil.
Then in 2011, Arijit made his film debut with the song ‘Phir Mohabbat’ from the movie ‘Murder 2’.
After the release of the song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ in the movie ‘Aashiqui 2’ in 2013, Arijit did not take too long to get stardom. He sang once in the opening ceremony of IPL.
Arijit won the National Film Award of India once for the song. Received Filmfare seven times, apart from Filmfare Best Singer in Bengal three times.
